Study in the Creative Arts provides students with strong discipline based knowledge and the fundamental skills, creative expertise, learning mindset and critical capabilities for the future world of work.
In Visual Arts, students experience technical competence in design, learn appreciation, self-expression and develop the complex skills required to create and test ideas, generate creative works with confidence, shape inquiry and critically evaluate and reflect on what they do.
At Wellington High School, the two hundred hours to be completed consisting of the Board Developed Elective & Mandatory Visual Arts courses.
The 100-hour mandatory centered around coherent units of study over the 2 years.
In Years 11 and 12, we offer the 2 Unit Visual Arts & Visual Design course.
Learning about Visual Arts, students strive to become significant producers and informed consumers of culture.
