The boys were defeated 4-2 in a thrilling match.
On Monday the 12th of May the Senior boys soccer team took on Parkes High in Wellington. The first half was a very evenly fought with both sides having plenty of chances, however, Wellington was unable to convert theirs and Parkes led 1 nil at the break.
Wellington were able to equalise early in the second half from the penalty strike, however, Parkes soon once gain extended their lead by a goal. However, a marvellous distance goal from Brad Reid brought the scores back level. Wellington then pushed hard for a goal that would give them the lead, however, Parkes twice were able to hit Wellington on the counter attack and Wellington missed several good chances to get back into the game.
Unfortunately for the Wellington boys time ran out on them before they were able to mount a comeback and the game ended up 4 - 2.
Special thanks to the year 12 boys who were playing their last game for the school and to Kotoni Staggs who was playing his first ever game of soccer and still performed outstandingly.
