COVID Update 11th August

NOTICE

Dear parents and carers,

Thank you for your support during these challenging times. As you are aware, the Dubbo Local Government Area is in lockdown from 1pm today, Thursday 11/8. For this reason, we are unable to continue with face-to-face teaching until at least Thursday 19th August. The school will remain open for students of essential workers if they are unable access learning from home.

We understand that this is an unsettling and difficult time for many people in our school community. We hope to make the transition to learning from home as easy as possible.

How should parents and carers communicate with the school?

Our main channel of communication with parents and carers will be the school website, social media. Please check this regularly for updates. We encourage you to check these platforms at least twice a day. We will also conduct phone check-ins to ensure students and their families are all okay.

How will students continue their learning at home?

Students will receive work via on-line learning platforms such as Google Classroom and packages of work.  How this work will be distributed will be detailed in a later post this afternoon.

Who should we contact if we are have questions about technology?

Please contact the school office if you need help sourcing or accessing technology and support with learning.

How can we continue to access other school support services?

If you need any school support services during this time, please contact the relevant staff members through a phone call to the front office.

Please remember that no non- staff members are to access the school during this lock-down.
