It is that time of year again - Transition time!
Wellington High School will be running a series of events for all Year 6 students to assist in the transition process.
1. Transition afternoons will include the following dates:
Week 6 (Wednesday, 20th August 2014),
Week 8 (Wednesday, 3rd September 2014) and
Week 2 Term 4 (Wednesday, 15th October 2014).
Students will meet at the front of the school at 1.45 pm and can catch buses home at 3.10 pm.
2. Year 7 Orientation Day - this will be a whole day event held on Tuesday 4th November 2014.
Students will follow a timetable where they will have the opportunity to see what it is like as a high school student. Lunch will be provided for the students and there will also be a sit down lunch for parents.
3. Testing - There will be a series of tests for our Enrichment and Opportunity classes as well as literacy and numeracy testing later in Term 4. Dates to be confirmed. This data will allow us to appropriately place each student for 2015.
