This is the second year of the Don Green Cup. This event is named in honor of the ex-Wellington High School Maths Head Teacher, Don Green. He was and still is a champion of local touch football. The event is held at Wellington High School and both girls and boys teams compete against Saint Mary's Central School teams.
This year the Wellington teams were very inexperienced and had not had much training time. As a result they were outclassed by superior Saint Mary's teams. However they made a commendable effort, scoring a number of tries.
